Added the Dreidel & Kangoroo rats and 'Tropical' as an alternative name for the hawaiians. Couldn't confirm the 'Vintage litter'.

Added the 'Rice Rat'.
But 'Heavily Speckled Rat' + litter mates can't be named like that because in Hekomi's Rares List Guide, those are the names of the Tan Hearts Litter.
I know where you got that from, but the owner of that thread simply made the name up.


Also: Conformed the pictures of 2008 and 2009. Going to conform 2010 later on.

Slightly off topic, but, thanks for making this new, updated list. It makes life so much easier when you are a rat collector. I'll try to help out where I can.

I started a rat name guide on the Wiki a long time ago, but for some reason the Wiki isn't being updated o.O
But I will help with this and check it out often to see what people call the rats =3 So far the wiki is either names I know they're being called or random names I came up with XD

EDIT:

Here's my suggestions:
- Isn't this one called Rudolph Rat?
- I called this one 'Brown Speckled Rat'... Best I could come up with XD

- I called these guys 'Black and White Speckled Rats', light, medium and heavy respectively.

I called these guys 'Coral Rats':
- Pink and Blue Coral Rat
- Green and Purple Coral Rat
- Pink Coral Rat
- Blue Coral Rat


I called these guys 'Ice Cream Rats', Vanilla, Chocolate and Licorice respectively.


I called these guys 'Sparkler Rats' instead of 'Firework Rats'


I called these guys 'Gold Nugget Rats', fluffy, light and dark respectively.


I called these guys 'Dry Grass Rats', Brown-Faced, Tan-Faced and Grey respectively.


I called these guys 'Cheetah Rats', Dark, Circled and Light respectively.


I called these guys 'Camo Rats'.. Still unsure about individual names, maybe heavy, medium and light patched?

I called these guys 'Vintage Rats', Tan, Blue and Red respectively.

Easter 2011: We already have an 'Easter Egg' litter, so I called these guys 'Sugar Rats'


And then I haven't done the 2012 yet, so I'm unsure what I would call the unnamed rats X3

The first rat is "Reindeer Rat"

why do you give new name to rats who already have names? Don't get me wrong, but burned paper litter already have name, why changing that to 'Ice Cream Rats', Vanilla, Chocolate and Licorice ?

also, 'Gold Nugget Rats' have their names from before "Orange Shimmer Litter"...
'Dry Grass Rats', they are called "Wild Rat Litter"
'Vintage Rats' are called "Ribbon Litter"

Spotted Shadow Rats- aren't they named already? "Spotted November Litter"

and about February unnamed litter, how about Tattoo Pattern Litter? They look like most common tattoo patterns... Blue, Yellow, Purple and Green...

and other litter to me look like they have something with oil.... we already have oil lamp litter (as much i remember ) so these can be called "Oil Stains" (light and dark) or something like that...

No pets have set names on this site, all of them can be 'renamed' if they're being called something else by the public.
And they're names I've heard them called before, not just random names I made up (Only some of them are).

I KNOW the reindeer rat is being called rudolph rat (Try search 'Reindeer rat' and 'Rudolph rat' on the Rares List and see what comes up with the rat ;3 )
I have never heard anybody call the 'burned paper' rats that name before and to be frank they look more like ice cream than burned paper if you ask me.
Again never heard anybody call the 'orange shimmer' rats that name before. Never heard them called gold nuggets either, no, but it's a suggestion that imo fits them better than 'orange shimmers'.
I know people called the 'Wild Rats' 'Dry grass rats' when they were new. No idea what they're called now, but they were definitely called 'Dry Grass' rats back then.
Vintage is just a better suggestion because we already have a different 'Ribbon Rat' litter from Christmas 10. And I'm pretty sure some people called them vintage rats when they were new too.
No, the 'Spotted November Litter' was never named. I'm pretty sure that was just a random name by the guide maker. I don't think those rats ever got a name. And again; I'm just giving out suggestions.
